BURN THE JUKEBOX PRESENT…
Manic punk pop (not pop punk) from Notts on Gringo/Hello Thor Records, their fantastic debut album Phantasm being easily one of the best albums of the summer
Monster stoner rock riffs from Cambridge
Wrong pop duo from Birmingham
+ FREE CAKES!
@ THE MILLER, LONDON BRIDGE
£3 advance tickets (coming soon!), £4 o.t.d.
We’re really excited to have our first gig at the Miller: recently revamped by the lovely people from the Sebright Arms and a stone’s throw from London Bridge/Borough tube station.
BTJ DJs, cake and dancing as usual, but this time with gourmet hot dogs downstairs and a sunny beer garden.
Fantastically-named upstarts from Cardiff making some huge waves after releasing their debut EP on Art Is Hard Records. Now signed to Fortuna Pop and taking a break from their festival marathon (including Latitude, Green Man etc), they play brilliant melody-driven, catchy boy/girl lo-fi pop-rock.
Sheffield’s answer to late 80s hardcore/proto-emo bands, Wooderson thrive on energy-driven performances, a solid DIY ethic and huge, huge riffs.
Properly infectious London garage punk favourites on ASTRO recordings
Haunting London shoegazers
£4 in, RSVP on facebook here!
We are proud to announce the next BTJ gig, on Saturday 2nd March, back at The Sebright! There’ll be another cracking, diverse line-up, including:
Notts-based ex-Lords legends playing fuzz-rock screamers
Cambridge’s premier heavy riff duo
London-based electronic post-rock-pop
+ BTJ DJs + (as usual) CAKES (and obvious puns)
@ THE SEBRIGHT ARMS, just off Hackney Road, E2 9AG (google maps link)
