To all bands and audience coming to the Cantaloupe and Joanna Gruesome shows, we had a blast! We’ll be back with our next show in September, so keep your eyes peeled for that, as well as some (hopefully) big plans happening towards the end of the year!
Firstly, thanks to all who came to The Miller show on Saturday – was good fun!
On 20th July, we’ll be back at The Sebright for more Hackney Road fun with the following…
Fantastic twitchy, building dance rock from the Souvaris/Gringo stable over in Nottingham
Landscape-bursting post-haze on Italian Beach Babes
Lovely expansive melodic folksy pop via Cambridge
DEARBHLA MINOGUE AND THE PARTISANS
Ice cream pop mixed with dancing mathy guitars from London
@ The Sebright Arms , Hackney Road/Bethnal Green, London
Doors at 8pm, £4 o.t.d (watch out for tickets to be released soon)
w/ all the usual BTJ DJs, dancing, cakes etc etc etc!
We’re really excited to have our first gig at the Miller: recently revamped by the lovely people from the Sebright Arms and a stone’s throw from London Bridge/Borough tube station.
BTJ DJs, cake and dancing as usual, but this time with gourmet hot dogs downstairs and a sunny beer garden.
Fantastically-named upstarts from Cardiff making some huge waves after releasing their debut EP on Art Is Hard Records. Now signed to Fortuna Pop and taking a break from their festival marathon (including Latitude, Green Man etc), they play brilliant melody-driven, catchy boy/girl lo-fi pop-rock.
Sheffield’s answer to late 80s hardcore/proto-emo bands, Wooderson thrive on energy-driven performances, a solid DIY ethic and huge, huge riffs.
Properly infectious London garage punk favourites on ASTRO recordings
Haunting London shoegazers
£4 in, RSVP on facebook here!
So, Burn The Jukebox are having an Easter gig. It wasn’t originally planned as such, but here it is all the same.
THE LAKE POETS
Martin Longstaff and friends bring their brand of Sunderland folk down south, playing honest rain-drenched melodies.
JOE INNES & THE CAVALCADE
6music favourites who combine twee, fascinating narratives with a load of energy and fun
Wimbledon’s best 22 year old singer-songwriter
